Tough Question
What is Junk?

What is junk?

This is a tough question to answer. It touches the nerve center or sensitivities of people.

I would venture to guess that we all know what junk is when we see it. The problem is “when we see it”. The age old adage, “One man’s junk, is another man’s treasure” holds true in this story.

I cannot think of a single soul that would appreciate you calling their possessions “junk”. Often times there is an emotional attachment to an object that is deemed valuable. Others still see something as useful, thus it can’t be junk. While others can’t part with something because it was a gift. Perhaps you are saving something for your kids, only to learn that they don’t want it. Maybe you think you will use it again, SOMEDAY!!

We have heard all of these comments and then some.

Some things we have hauled away include:

·      Cash register tapes from 1997

·      1998 Yellow Books from Denver Co.

·      Old exercise bikes and treadmills

·      Broken furniture

·      Carpet, including Shag Carpet

·      Pots and Pans

·      Mattresses

·      TVs from the 1970’s, including some old Black & White Models

·      Old tires

·      Old Toilets

·      Office Furniture

·      Much Much More

Junk, what an interesting business!!
